We all have our “go-to” playlists for when we need to get things done or that movie we watch over and over again because it just brings us so much joy. Some of us even have a site we always land on for creative inspiration or new ideas. Your Creative Curations if you will.

So here is our list of creative curations, the best places we have found inspiration when we just need to finish those projects.

Our favorites (books, music, TV Shows, podcasts, movies, influencers, etc.) for September 2024.

September's Best Music

To help you focus or give you some inspiration.

Creative Curations
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on Apple Music or Spotify. This soundtrack can motivate you to conquer the world (or maybe just the gym). It’s energetic, cheerful, with just the right sprinkle of humor—because who can resist cracking a smile with tunes that have as much sass and spirit as Star-Lord himself?
  • Brain Food on Spotify. This handpicked playlist is so mesmerizing; it's almost magical! But no fears of nodding off while studying—these instrumental jams are designed to keep you in the zone, not in dreamland. Tune into this playlist when motivation is playing hide and seek.
  • Relaxing music on Spotify. It's doctors orders. Deep breaths at the end of the day and some relaxing tunes to prepare for a good night's sleep.
  • She checks the weather by Johnnyswim: A heartfelt song on life and the surprises it brings with it sometimes.

September's Best Books

Creative Curations
  • The Courage to Be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga . unfolds as a dialogue between a philosopher and a young man, who, over the course of five enriching conversations, realizes that each of us is in control of our life’s direction, independent of past burdens and expectations of others.
  • Coach Builder by Donald Miller. How to Turn Your Expertise Into a Profitable Coaching Career

September's Best Podcasts

Creative Curations
  • BigDeal with Codie Sanchez. This podcast uncovers the unfiltered lessons from the smartest minds straight to you, in conversations so honest you feel guilty listening in.
  • Marketplace with Kai Ryssdal. A good daily snapshot of things happening in the economy and finance. Reported in a way that “normal” people can follow and understand
  • The Podcast with Knox & Jamie. Just for fun. When you need a brain break and to catch up on all things pop culture or need help finding the next show to binge, THIS IS IT.

September's Best Movies/TV Shows

Creative Curations
  • Slow Horses on Apple TV +: Based on the novel of the same name by Mick Herron. It tells the story of a team of British intelligence agents who have all committed career-ending mistakes, and subsequently work in a dumping ground department of MI5 called Slough House. There's some language thrown here and there, but overall, it's very entertaining.
