Hey Showit Family!

In starting this letter I first want to say Thank You. For those of you who don't know me, I am the co-founder of Showit and have been the Chief Technology Officer since it began. Our entire team is grateful for the trust you put in us to manage your website. So if you are brand new to Showit or have been with us since the very beginning, I want to say a very big,  “Thank You!”

Our company has grown over the past 6 years to be more than what we ever expected, and create two amazing products in Showit and PASS. Earlier this year at United 2014, we made the exciting announcement we will now be two independent companies. David Jay will be the CEO of PASS and Shoot & Share, and I will now be the CEO of Showit. I couldn't be more excited for this change as we will have two focused companies making the best products in the industry.

Team Changes

With this change the new Showit team will be based in Arizona. I am thankful for the amazing vision DJ brought to Showit, and I'm excited to carry that torch as we forge a new path into the future. We built Showit with a vision to allow photographers to create the best website to showcase their unique brand and identity, and our entire team is passionate to continue that vision. With your help, we also built the incredible Showiteer community that is united in serving each other, and I am excited to have a renewed focus in continuing to build that as well.

An Exciting Future

As a technology company, we want Showit to always be at the front of innovation in allowing creative professionals to build their unique web presence. Every day, new and amazing Showit websites are launched, but we also know the explosion of mobile has changed how people use and experience the Internet. In response to this, Showit just released new updates to our HTML5 galleries to make sure we are offering the best mobile experience.

With a renewed focus on Showit, this year we will be releasing more updates that enhance the mobile experience as well as additional new features. We are also excited to invest new energy into the Showiteer community and hope that you will join us in serving one another.

Community

We value our community so very much, and we want to ensure that all of our users feel seen, heard, and supported. It's why we put on ‘United' every year, even though we are not in the business of producing conferences. But we value human interaction, and IRL friendships and hugs, and working together to make sure everyone succeeds.

Todd Watson

Todd Watson is the co-founder and CEO of Showit. He started his first business in high school video taping weddings and has been an entrepreneur ever since. David Jay and Todd founded Showit with the goal of helping photographers create their own unique businesses and they have been building software tools and communities around this since 2006. Todd is married to his stunningly beautiful wife Elisa and they have four boys, Kiefer, Cooper, Foss and Will.
