Well, we are only two months away from saying goodbye to 2024, which just means we have some new and fun recommendations for you! These might not be the most recent on the “publication calendar”, but it's what our team has been into this last month.

We all have our “go-to” playlists for when we need to get things done or that movie we watch over and over again because it just brings us so much joy. Some of us even have a site we always land on for creative inspiration or new ideas. Your Creative Curations if you will.

So here is our list of creative curations, the best places we have found inspiration when we just need to finish those projects or when we need a good laugh.

Our favorites (books, music, TV Shows, podcasts, movies, influencers, etc.) for November 2024.

November's Best Music

We love listening to music and, of course, we all have different preferences so here are 3 of our most favorite songs/artists this month.

  • Moon Music by Coldplay– Sarah P. from Marketing. It probably says how old I am but, Coldplay is just good. I'm a massive fan. Their latest album has received some controversial reviews, but after a couple of listens, you will just appreciate how fresh, new, and (at the same time) it's still.. Coldplay. Moon Music is like a warm, healing hug from an old friend that instantly soothed my soul.
  • I was Younger by Colony House- Ethan S. from Marketing

November's Best Books

  • Cues by Vanessa Van Edwards: Want to be heard at work, snag that long-awaited promotion, or win over more clients and projects? Vanessa Van Edwards, bestselling author of Captivate, is here to help. Her advanced guide dives into the power of cues to boost your professional relationships and make you a workplace superstar.
  • Supercommunicators by Charles Duhigg: Who exactly are these supercommunicators? They're the folks who can navigate conversations to a happy ending, touch on tough topics without ruffling feathers, and make everyone feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts. They're the ultimate facilitators and decision-makers. But how do they pull it off? Charles Duhigg writes about the secrets of these supercommunicators, diving into the art and science of stellar conversation. He breaks down different types of everyday chats, explaining why some flow smoothly while others crash and burn. He reveals the key questions and strategies that bring people together and shows how to turn even the stickiest situations around.

November's Best Podcasts

Creative Curations
  • Smart Money Happy Hour– Mike O. from Marketing: Rachel and George are great. They tackle the serious world of finances with a dash of humor, bringing the Dave Ramsey message to life in a way that's both entertaining and approachable. And let's not forget the mocktails! Their drink of the week keeps things fun and inclusive for non-drinkers.

November's Best Movies/TV Shows

  • Nobody wants this- Sarah from Marketing: Think When Harry Met Sally, minus predictability, plus more unpredictability. the 2024 rom-com series on Netflix, is a delightful paradox that plays with clichés while turning them on their heads. It explores self-discovery and love amid chaos. Without giving too much away, the season finale masterfully balances realism and hope, leaving you heart-wrenchingly uplifted (believe me, I've watched it 6 times). It’s a fresh breeze in the world of predictable rom-coms, celebrating the messiness of love, mistakes, and the beautiful connections that arise. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and trust me, by the end, you'll want this.
  • The Great British Baking Show- Jess from Marketing: Just started releasing the new season on Netflix. I think I like it a lot better than American baking competitions because it feels very authentic and not staged with drama and catastrophe-like American versions. There is no final prize other than a cake stand so there is just a privilege to be be selected to be there and to compete. Also, their self-deprecating humor and accents are what keep you watching! Also, it’s just heartwarming and wholesome and amazing to see the talent of these home bakers and the way they use their artistic abilities in their “bakes.”
